  • $1,000 Bank Internet Scholarship – U.S. Bank offers 40 $1,000 scholarships each year to high school seniors and undergraduates who apply. Students must be enrolled in a college participating in the loan program through U.S. Bank. Winners are selected at random.

  • The Discover Card Tribute Award – Discover Card offers $2,500 to $25,000 to high school juniors who intend to enroll in an accredited college. Students must fill out an application and show accomplishment in three out of four areas including, special talents, obstacles overcome, community service, and leadership.
  • Upromise College Scholarships – Upromise provides $2,500 to 100 dedicated college students each year. Applicants for this scholarship must be high school seniors or undergraduate students who are members or children of members of Upromise. Students must have a GPA of 3.4 or higher and a household income of less than $80,000 a year.
  • Kentucky Fried Chicken Scholarship – Are you on Twitter? Of course you are. If you have a knack for conveying your thoughts in 140 characters or less, you could win $20,000 from KFC. The contest changes from year to year. For instance, this past year required a photo tweet to @KFC_Colonel instead of a tweet with 140 characters. However, no matter what the rules are for this year, you still have the opportunity to win money for your college tuition.
  • The Nordstrom Scholarship Program – If you live in one of the 30 states where Nordstrom has a full line of stores, have a 2.7 GPA or higher, and plan on attending a four year college, you can be one of the 80 high school students eligible to receive a $10,000 scholarship to help pay for college.
